Complaints Policy

Together for Regeneration (TfR) is committed to providing a high-quality service to its users.
If you wish to complain about the service that you have received from TfR, or about one of its
members of staff, then you should contact the Director of Together for Regeneration on
01709 309 109.

If your complaint is against the Director of TfR or if you feel that your complaint has not been
dealt with satisfactorily then you should contact the Archdeacon of Sheffield and Rotherham
as Chair of TfR on 01709 309 100.

Alternatively, you can contact the Director of TfR or the Archdeacon of Sheffield and
Rotherham by post at: Church House, 95-99 Effingham Street, Rotherham, South Yorkshire,
S65 1BL.

1. Making a Complaint
Whenever a complaint is received, either by telephone or in writing, it will be recorded in the
complaints book and will be acknowledged within two working days.
Each complaint will be investigated within a further 5 working days and an initial response
provided. You, the complainant, will be offered a meeting with the TfR Director, or Chair as
appropriate, to discuss the matter further and to reach an agreement about it. Following this
a written response will be sent to you summarising the outcome of the meeting.
If the complaint is complex then it may take longer than 5 days to investigate and resolve.
You will be kept informed of the progress of your complaint throughout the process.

2. If you are not satisfied
If you are not satisfied with the explanation and decision made then you should write within
28 days directly to the Chair of TfR. You may use another person to write the complaint for
you and request to have a review panel established to investigate the matter further.
The review panel will consist of two TfR committee members and potentially one
independent person. You will be invited to attend the review panel.
The decision will be made known to you in writing within 28 days of the panel meeting,
outlining the reasons for the decision and any action proposed as a result of the panel
review.

3. If you are still not satisfied
A complainant who wishes to pursue the matter further should contact the Sheffield Diocesan
Secretary in writing at the same address, who will audit the complaints procedure, but will
only investigate the substance of the complaint in exceptional circumstances.
